CONCEPT
This flip book animation captures the experience of a panic attack from intrusive thoughts to spiralling anxiety. Through shifting motion and pacing, it mirrors the escalating intensity of the mind while hinting at fleeting moments of calm.
APPROACH
I used abstract, simple shapes to visually express the chaos of anxiety, overlapping forms, irregular movement, and changing density mirror intrusive thoughts and spiralling overthinking. As the flipbook progresses, the shapes gradually regain structure and space, symbolizing moments of clarity and grounding.

MAKING THE FLIP BOOK
This project involved digitally illustrating 125 frames, printing and manually cutting each one, then assembling them into a tangible flipbook that brings the animation to life.
